Vector 7 have, over the last few years, developed a series of top-scoring websites specifically for the security industry. What started as a challenging diversion has become a sector of our business.

The unique challenge of marketing a security website to the internet is something we have learned intimately. Security isn't an easy industry to compete in; for a start the competition is fierce. One of the factors we learned early is that (with the exception of a few big hitters) most security websites either perform well on the search engines or look attractive to the eye. This is the first hurdle we crossed, a website that hits the top spots in the search results and looks good.

The other challenge we faced is getting information across. There is a wealth of information out there, but unless your potential customers have a fixed interest in getting a security system fitted, their attention span will be limited. One of the most important bits of information that we need to get across to the viewer is, "Why you should have your burglar alarm/CCTV system installed by us and not just pick up a cheap one on eBay and fit it yourself."
