There are times when you will need to update mailbox settings. This could be due to migrating to a new mail server or maybe just replacing outdated server ports. This guide is designed make this process as simple as possible. This is for updating IMAP set ups. Do not use if currently using a POP set up.
STEP 1
Open the Outlook app & click the Mail icon in the top left.
STEP 2
Click cog icon in botton left.

Click Accounts under General settings.
STEP 4
Select the email you want to update.
STEP 5
Scroll down the IMAP settings page.
STEP 6
Click Remove account.

Click Remove.

If the screen below isn’t shown, go to 8b. If it is, click Add account and skip to Step 10.

If shown screen below, click Add account & continue to STEP 9.

Click Add an email account.

Input your email in the Enter your email box.
STEP 11
Select IMAP.

Input the following settings:
- Password: Your email password
- Display Name: Your name or company name
- Description: A label to help identify account
Click Advanced settings toggle then enter the following settings.
- IMAP Host Name: imap.stackmail.com
- Port: 993
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- SMTP Host Name: smtp.stackmail.com
- Port: 465
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- SMTP Username: Your email address
- SMTP Password: Your email password
Click tick in top right.
You should have now successfully connected to your emails.
