Types of email connections

Whilst utilising our email hosting services, you will have access to both IMAP and POP3 connections. With our IMAP connections, all of your emails are stored on our server and your device acts as a "window" for you to view, reply to and forward emails. This connection allows for multiple devices to be connected to a single mailbox at the same time, without any discrepancies between them.

Although POP3 is somewhat outdated, our servers still support this type of connection as well. This is useful for those who only wish to have a single email address accessible on a single device, as the emails are downloaded from our server and stored on the local device you are using. This connection method will also help if this single mailbox receives a large number of emails or emails that are quite large in size, as the downloaded emails will be removed from our server thus freeing up storage space.

Improved mailbox capacity

Understanding the need for mailboxes with large capacities, we provide clients with mailboxes that have up to 10GB of storage as standard within our email hosting packages. As most emails on average are roughly 75KB in size, this means that mailboxes can potentially store over 133,000 emails at once.

If this still isn't enough, we can also offer increased mailbox capacity when it is required.

Webmail connectivity

All of our mailboxes come with a standard, easy to use webmail portal, so you can access your emails from any device as long as it is connected to the internet. This allows you to access your emails on any new devices you may acquire, even if you haven't gotten around to setting the emails up within your normal email client yet.

Our team will send over the relevant login information for each mailbox once it has been created, allowing you to access emails on the fly.
